Caregiver/Driver

About the employer

Our client is a business owner who is looking for a caregiver/driver for their elderly mother and her sister to drive them to appointments and errands.

Responsibilities:

• Drive and assist two women in their early 90’s by taking them to doctor’s appointments and errands to include the grocery store, Lowe’s, Macy’s, bank, etc. Sometimes only one of the women will go out and sometimes both.
• Errands and appointments will be on the north side of Austin from Cedar Park to the Domain area. 
• Consistent availability on Mon, Wed, Fri. from 9 am – 12 or 1 pm with some flexibility as needed for doctor’s appointments. Appointments will plan to be scheduled in the 9-12 timeframe.
• At doctor's appts, in general they won't need caregiver to come into the doctor’s office. They can escort them to the appointment and wait in the waiting room. 
• Mobility for both women is pretty good. They use walking sticks or a rollator for longer shopping events.
• Help with minor chores or tidying may be requested.
• $25/hour plus mileage
• Caregiver must have a reliable car.

Candidate profile

• Experience working with the elderly is ideal. At a minimum, candidates should enjoy working with the elderly.
• On time, patient and kind.
• No smokers. 
• Background check will be done.
• References will be required and confirmed.

Schedule: Mon, Wed, Fri, 9 am – 12 or 12:30 pm

Hourly rate: $25/hour plus mileage
